If you need a Canadian document to be accepted in China, the process changed in 2024. Following the old steps wastes time and money.
Because both Canada and China are now part of the Hague Apostille Convention, many Canadian documents for use in China are certified with a single apostille, rather than the former chain of notarization, provincial authentication and Chinese consular legalization. Many people are still following the old process, or being told to by out-of-date sources.
Depending on the document, a power of attorney, a single status declaration, a diploma, a corporate record, it usually needs to be correctly prepared and notarized first, then apostilled by Ontario's Official Documents Services. The Chinese institution receiving it may also have its own translation and format requirements.
As a dual-licensed firm familiar with both Canadian and Chinese requirements, we prepare, notarize and arrange the apostille so your document is accepted in China the first time.

Book a Consultation
